Brewing Storm: Salisbury

Famous for its prehistoric stone circles at Avebury and  Stonehenge and shrouded in mystery, myth and legend the Wiltshire countryside is beautiful. On weekends I often find myself immersed myself in overgrown paths, walking the dog and taking photographs. The vast fields where huge cloud formations sweep across open skies and weather conditions change in a few minutes.

  1. Yes, love the images. Did you use long exposure on any of them?

    • Hello and thank you for your kind comments. I believe the settings were f/9.0 – 1/4000 – ISO 200. I also used a tone filter, but can’t remember which one.

      • 1/4000 is a short exposure. I was just curious because clouds like that usually form better over a few second exposure.

      • Yes. I think on this occasion it was the tone of the filter that did most of the work.
